BioI always loved horses and drew them constantly when I was a child. I began felting about 15 years ago, when my oldest child was a toddler, ordering a craft book on wetfelting purses, slippers, and hats. Trying to felt horses was a natural outgrowth of these factors, and I struggled onward for several years. Wetfelting used too much space and made a mess and I slowly gave up on it.A friend gave me a three-needle felting tool a few years back, and it was just the thing! Needle felting can be done anywhere, in any segment of time (even 5 seconds!), and works better! I needle felt just about anything that can be seen or imagined...horses, dogs, cats, turtles, dragons, unicorns, ornaments, puppets, theatrical props, and the occasional functional item! |
