BioMy name is Nancy Bevins, I've been working with wool for a while now. We have a small 40 acre farm in the hills of West Virginia where we raise sheep, goats,....and children! My husband of 25 years and I have been foster/adoptive parents for many years. In addition to children from my own womb (I hate using the word "biological!") we have adopted 4 great and talented kids from foster care and have a 6 year old foster son too. We have been a homeschooling family since 1989. I would list my felting accomplishments except I've never entered any contests or fairs...too busy! But I basically started felting and selling my creations as a way to justify to my husband the many sheep that kept "showing up" at our home....("Really...we found it at the bottom of the driveway with a suitcase on it's back!") We live very different lives in this world of consumerism, commercialism, and consumption. We try to grow as much as possible, re-use things, and stay home more than going out.
